We put a lot of trust in products and professionals to help us do all we can to fight the signs of aging. We all want to hold on to that youthful look and turn back the clock. Experience, Knowledge and Understanding science between skin, treatments such as Botox or dermal fillers and the science of aging versus anti-aging is all an educated science.
Botox: An Introduction
The use of Botox and Dysport is nothing new. In fact, botulinum toxin has been used therapeutically used on facial muscle since the 1960’s. It was initially used for treatment of eyelid spasm and strabismus. However, it wasn’t until the 1980’s that it began being used for aesthetic purposes. It’s important to remember that these proteins are not “fillers”, but rather they act by paralyzing or weakening facial muscles. This in turn will cause wrinkles to disappear for a period of time.
Today Botox and Dysport are both used for the treatment of: unwanted facial wrinkles, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and chronic migraines to name just a few.
Microblading: Get the Eyebrows You Want
Eyebrows are arguably the most important facial feature whether you like them arched and feathered or straight and bold. If you’re not satisfied with the ones you have, there is now a new and very natural option that delivers semi-permanent results – meet microblading. Unlike the sometimes Sharpie-esque effects of permanent makeup, microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows.
In technique, microblading is very different from tattooing by using a special microblading pen to draw on individual strokes one by one. It’s a very detailed process which takes about two hours to complete. Since the results will last for up to three years before beginning to fade, it’s good to know that the technicians pay very close attention to detail.
By working with the team at Parson Skin Center, you’ll receive a microblading treatment for $450, a free chemical peel, and a B5 hydrating gel to apply before moisturizer. Amazing!
