Too Much of a Good Thing: Influencer with the Biggest Legal Implants Regrets Them

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should—that goes for everything including, sometimes, breast augmentation. A reputable plastic surgeon is board certified and will guide patients towards treatment options that are reasonable and will fit into their lifestyle. Dr. Shaun Parson Plastic Surgery & Skin Center is where you will find a leading specialist in breast implants, facelifts, tummy tucks, and liposuction. But did you know that in the United States any MD can legally perform some minor cosmetic surgeries? They cannot be board certified—that requires additional training and continuing education—but they can certainly undertake cosmetic procedures. You deserve to have a leading expert taking care of one of the “biggest” decisions of your life because there can certainly be too much of a good thing.

Recently, Instagram model Neyleen Ashley spoke out about getting the biggest legal implants. The slender influencer upgraded to between a G and H cup which, understandably, led to a painful outcome. She says she always wanted to have a super curvy, hourglass figure, and recalls stuffing her bra with paper as an adolescent. Ashley earns about $1,000 per post and has 2.5 million followers, and thought that achieving her dream of having the biggest breasts in the country might also help with her following. Things did not turn out as planned, and this isn’t the first time a breast augmentation procedure went bust for her.

A History of Poor Surgeries

As soon as Ashley turned 18, she got implants. However, she didn’t find them big enough and had two more additional augmentations. When she was at her peak, she had staggering 1,250 cc implants, but they came with a cost. “I’ve had terrible migraines for awhile,” she shared with her audience. “But they’ve become more severe over the past three years.” She’s a mother of two, and since the migraines were so bad that they interfered with her daily life, she knew she had to do something. Ashley said,

I experience a lot of tension in my upper shoulders and tendons almost daily, and it feels like my neck and shoulders are being stretched. Additionally, my breast implants prevent me from running and exercising. I’m considering completely removing them and opting for a fat transfer or a smaller implant. Multiple doctors have informed me that this would be a significant surgical procedure involving removing a lot of tissue and resulting in noticeable scarring.

Ashley did finally have the implants removed and is going all-natural. She considered simply downsizing, but was fearful of other types of complications. The first augmentation she had at 18 resulted in breasts that were uneven—another tell-tale sign of not finding the best surgeon.

How to Get Beautiful Results

The only way to get beautiful breast augmentation results is to work with a leading surgeon. A great surgeon will understand patient goals but also help guide them on this life-changing journey. Everyone has different ideas of the ideal shape, but achieving symmetry and balance is a must when it comes to breast implants. It shouldn’t be simply going as big as possible, not only because of poor aesthetic but also because of potential pain issues like Ashely faced.

Today, breast augmentation trends lean towards the more natural anyway. There is an increased demand in teardrop-shaped implants over round. You can also customize implants in regards to size, texture, shape, and whether they are above or below the chest muscles. Slender patients may find that putting implants below the chest muscles allow for an even more natural-looking outcome. There are also various incision placement options, but those are dictated by the surgeon.
