27 May Fillers For Those Who are Less … Dramatic
If you’re new to the world of Botox and fillers, you might be prioritizing an au naturel outcome. Parson Skin Center customizes all injectables to your needs and goals, and we want clients to know that using a full syringe (or more than one syringe) is certainly not a requirement. In fact, many clients benefit from using partial syringes of both Botox and fillers, spreading out the injection points for an organic outcome.
“Baby Botox” is a recent trend that we can get behind. It’s also called micro-Botox and is designed for specific facial areas. It’s very similar to how Botox was/is traditionally used, but requires much fewer units (Botox is measured in units, with most newbies starting out using around 20 units to address common sites like the angry elevens between the brows). However, with Baby Botox, sometimes just 10 units might be used. Again, every treatment is customized, so this is just an example.
Baby Botox is best for those who are new to Botox and just want to try it out. It can also be a great fit for those in their 20s, or those who are 30 or better and want to mildly treat multiple sites. Baby Botox works exactly the same as regular Botox, but the results are of course less dramatic—and for some people, that can be a good thing. It is best used on areas prone to lines and wrinkles such as around the eyes, between the brows, and the forehead. It can also be injected along the browline to enhance the arch or the upper lip for a “lip flip” (giving you the appearance of a plumper upper lip).
Another Option for Natural Results
When it comes to dermal fillers, another type of injectable, you also have options for natural results. Dermal fillers are measured in syringes, but you don’t have to use the entire syringe. In fact, for those who want subtler results, a partial syringe is plenty. This is true no matter where you are interested in treating, from the lips to the cheeks and jawline. Another possibility is going with a collagen treatment instead of HA.
Most dermal fillers are made up of a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid (HA), a protein that is naturally synthesized by the body. HA fillers provide immediate results, though some swelling may occur right after the treatment (it dissipates in a few days). A lot of clients love HA fillers and you can get gorgeous results using partial syringes. However, for those who want an even more natural and progressive outcome, Sculptra might be for you.
Sculptra is one of the few dermal fillers that does not use HA. Instead, it works by stimulating collagen induction at the treatment site. This means results are not visible right away, but appear in the weeks and months following the treatment. Another benefit of Sculptra is that it lasts longer than fillers—often up to two years. If you want results that occur naturally over time so that nobody can tell you had anything “done,” Sculptra might be for you.
Treatments for All
At Parson Skin Center, we are committed to working alongside clients so that you can achieve the look you want. Whether that’s dramatic, subtle, or somewhere in the middle, remember that a major factor is the skill of the injector. This is just as paramount as being matched with the right treatment(s). Parson Skin Center is more than a medical day spa. It’s where you will find leading professionals and injectors who are dedicated to making sure your experience is a positive and safe one.
Injectables are a great way to try out a new look, turn back the clock, enhance your aesthetic, and in some cases even delay the desire for more aggressive treatments for several years. If you are interested in Botox, dermal fillers, or other such treatments, it all starts with a consultation so we can design a game plan just for you.
