25 Oct Breast Surgery Recovery — Post-Operative Instructions
Recovery is often an undervalued phase of the plastic surgery process, despite the direct influence the patient has over it. Following Dr. Shaun Parson’s instructions will help ensure a quick and efficient breast surgery recovery.
While making preparations for your new breast implants, it’s important to arrange for a reliable driver to take you home to start your breast surgery recovery and to help out with day-to-day activities for at least a few days. This is emphasized because a procedure involving breast implants is typically of the outpatient variety.
Within several days following the insertion of breast implants, the gauze dressings (if you have them) will be removed, and you may be given a surgical bra. You should wear it as directed by your plastic surgeon. You may also experience a slight burning sensation in your nipples for about two weeks, but this will subside as bruising fades.
