14 Dec Breast Surgery Healing
After the breast augmentation procedure, breast surgery healing begins. Most patients have very little discomfort during this time.
Breast Augmentation Healing Tips
There may be some temporary changes in sensation (decreases or increases) after surgery, and these usually resolve in a matter of weeks. After any surgery, including breast augmentation, there is swelling; this will disappear in several weeks for most patients.
During the initial part of breast surgery healing, the breasts will feel tight, and some patients describe the feeling as being similar to when they were pregnant.
After a few weeks, the skin and breast tissue stretch and adapt to the breast implant, and the breast then becomes more natural feeling. As time goes on, the bottom of the breast will round out, which gives the breast a more natural shape.
